Biography

I am very proud of my career in B.M.X. and it is an honor to be in the Texas B.M.X. Hall of Fame with so many outstanding riders. After my racing days, I have spent thirty years in the food and beverage industry. Today I am in my fourth year with H-E-B, and I am having the time of my life! On January 6, 2017, I was diagnosed with Sino-Nasal Undifferentiated Carcinoma (S.N.U.C.) and it was already at stage three. My team of Doctors knew they had to treat it aggressively with Chemo and Radiation simultaneously to shrink the tumor and I am happy to report it is currently in remission. B.M.X. was a great platform in teaching me the importance of teamwork. Having the opportunity of being on great teams along with many Hall of Fame Inductees prepared me for my career with work. Teamwork is essential in our everyday lives. It took an amazing team of Doctors along my co-workers, my family, and friends to lift me, from what was a grave diagnosis, to back on my feet and work in less than seven months! I want to congratulate the 2017 Inductees including Scott Patterson, some of the fondest memories from my B.M.X. career are from racing on his team!
